Clare Volunteer Centre

The Clare Volunteer Centre was set up in September 2008 with a remit to develop a volunteer centre for County Clare to facilitate the effective placement of volunteers within the community & voluntary sector. The CVC also provides services and supports to the community & voluntary sector to enable them to recruit & retain their volunteers.
Supported by the Clare Local Development Company, the CVC office is located in Westgate Business Park, Ennis.
People who are interested in volunteering can;
- Find out about volunteering opportunities throughout County Clare
- Talk in confidence with us about volunteering and individual preferences
- Receive information without having to make a commitment
- Obtain ongoing advice and support
Organisations that are looking to involve volunteers can;
- Advertise their volunteering opportunities
- Receive information and advice on working with volunteers
- Develop a volunteer policy for their organisation
- Access our Garda Vetting Service which is open only to voluntary organisations who do not have access to their own authorised signatory
- Avail of training provided by the Clare Volunteer Centre
The CVC actively engages in local and national projects to highlight the importance of acknowledging and recognising volunteers. In conjunction with Clare Local Development Company, the CVC recently launched the Clare Volunteer Discount Card to celebrate the European Year of the Volunteer 2011.
