Modules
The FETAC (NCVA) level 4 enables learners to gain recognition for:
- the achievement of personal and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding to specified standards
- the enhancement of individual talents and qualities
- achievement and learning relevant to a variety of progression options, including employment at an introductory vocational level, and programmes leading to FETAC (NCVA) level 5 or equivalent.
A FETAC (NCVA) level 4 will be awarded to learners who achieve the required standards in eight modules comprising the following four core modules:
- communications (G10001)
- mathematics (C10139)
- information technology skills (B10135)
- personal & interpersonal skills (G10032)
- or
- personal effectiveness (G10033).
and four elective modules which may be drawn from the list of approved modules.
A Component Certificate will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete one or more FETAC (NCVA) level 4 modules.
A candidate gains one credit for each FETAC (NCVA) level 4 module in which the required standard has been achieved. Credit may be accumulated over a period of time. Modules at other levels will be assigned an appropriate credit value towards the achievement of the FETAC (NCVA) level 4.
